We also have some tickets left for 'Cycling to Suffrage' talk by Dr Shelia Hanlon. Dr Hanlon is bringing this fantastic exhibition to Manchester for the first time. The main objective of “Cycling to Suffrage” is to investigate how the bicycle was integrated into the campaign tactics used by the organised suffrage movement. The exhibition will be open to the public from 1-5pm. |
All photographs submitted so far for the #MCRWomenBike photo competiton will be exhibited in the foyer at the People's History Museum. See the website for current entries and details on how to submit your own photo. There will be five lucky winners. Categories include most public votes, most creative composition and a 'random'. We've had 80 fantastic photographs submitted so far of women across Greater Manchester sharing their reason for biking. Over 2000 people have voted. |
